Orlando Book Drive: Last Days

Tomorrow, March 15th,  will be the last day for the four David Maus Automotive dealerships to collect books for Orlando Schools, grades K-12, a project started by the David Maus Literacy Project. The Literacy Project was created by the CARE Program, a new approach to assisting employees of companies dedicated to helping children which was launched late last year. This program meets with companies in the Central Florida area to offer their employees discounted prices on the purchase of new and used vehicles and in the Service Department.

This is the first Book Drive hosted by the Literacy Project and it is expected to help a minimum of one elementary school, one middle school and one high school with new or gently used books that have been donated by employees and community residents. The goal is to donate 50 to 100 books per school.

To drop off books, visit David Maus VW on Lee Road. For more details call 407-302-8800. To find out more about the CARE Program and whether your company can be a part of the discount program, visit www.care-program.com.
